Today I downloaded the new iOS 5 software for my iPhone 4. I love it.
However, after trying to get on Google and getting an error requiring a Captha code — it said that Google was getting a lot of traffic from my IP address and it wanted to verify that I wasn’t a robot — I was thoroughly perplexed. I thought that it was just an error.
A little while later I tried to get on my Bank of America mobile banking site, and I couldn’t get it. After I entered my userID and my password, I was redirected to the main page again. Frustration!
I went into the Settings of my phone and realized that when I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5, there was a default browser setting that got changed. Instead of accepting cookies — which I had set up before the upgrade — the default setting had changed to “accept no cookies”. This was keeping me out of the websites I tried to access.
To solve this issues, simply go into your Settings –> Safari –> and then change your cookies to “Accept Cookies –> From Visited”. This will allow your phone to access those sites again.
Hope this helps!
